Thank you for your interest in Grand Forum!

Grand Forum is an educational outreach program for adults 55 and older. As a part of Continuing Education at Grand Valley State University, we are able to have many of our forum sessions on the Grand Valley campus, usually at the Eberhard Center.

Our sessions are held in September, February, and May. Our guest speakers can be faculty members or other experts from the business, science, health, and arts sectors of the community.

Some of our off-site visits have included Gilda's Club, Gerald R. Ford Museum, Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, Millennium Park, the Grand Rapids Press, MAREC, and the Annis Water Institute in Muskegon.

There is a Grand Forum Book Discussion Group that meets the first Wednesday of the month.

As a member of Grand Forum, you are also invited to attend many of the Grand Valley receptions and special lectures throughout the year.

Another benefit of Grand Forum membership is the opportunity to meet new  people. There is a coffee/tea social time before the morning session and time to visit over lunch before the afternoon session.  Members come from a variety of backgrounds and areas; Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Spring Lake, and Grand Haven.  The diversity of the group leads to thought provoking and challenging questions and comments during the presentations.

The annual membership fee is $105/person.

If you have any questions about Grand Forum or are interested in joining, please email Judy Palmer or call the office at (616)331-6615.   We will be glad to discuss the program in more detail.

Sincerely,

Judy Palmer, Director of Grand Forum
