GVSU Student Support Fund

Grand Valley State University is pleased to annouce a new initiative to assist students at the University. This year has been a difficult time for many families, so that is why GVSU is undertaking a special campaign to ensure extra resources for our students who find themselves in a financial bind.

The GVSU Financial Aid Office will determine the recipients and award amounts based on the availability of funds and knowledge of students experiencing unusual or extreme challenges from the current economic crisis.

In order to respond to requests, we ask that you complete one of our special circumstance forms, so we can have a snapshot of your family/personal situation.

These forms can by found by clicking on the Special Circumstance Page. The forms are designated for different areas, so if you do not feel that your circumstance falls into a specific category, please complete the form entitled, "other circumstances". The Financial Aid Office will respond to your request as soon as possible, but please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.

Please Note: If you have already filed a special circumstance form for the 2009-2010 academic year, you do not need to file again. Please contact our office and we will do a second review of your circumstance to determine if any assistance is available.
