Location: Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, 303 Pearl St. NW Grand Rapids, MI 49504

Containing fewer than eight thousand words, the Constitution and its twenty-seven amendments are the bedrock of the American republic. Its concise structure, alongside the nation’s boundless capacity for change, have produced a need for ongoing debate over the document’s fundamental principles.

In honor of Constitution Day, the Hauenstein Center, the Koeze Business Ethics Initiative, the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library & Museum are pleased to host a debate on constitutional interpretation between Nathan Goetting of Adrian College and John McGinnis of Northwestern University. The debate will be moderated by Victoria Vuletich of Western Michigan University Cooley Law School.

This event is free and open to the public.
